Youth’s Leadership respects the privacy of every individual who visits our web site and donates to our organization for the benefit of children actively enrolled in youth leadership programs in the Enumclaw community. This privacy statement provides notice of our information collection practices and of the ways in which your information may be used. This policy is subject to change; therefore, Youth’s Leadership recommends visitors to its web site and donors review this information periodically.
What information does Youth’s Leadership collect and how is it used?
A. Personally-Identifiable Information
Youth’s Leadership typically receives specific data about its web site visitors and donors only when such information is provided voluntarily, such as: when our visitors request information by mail, telephone, facsimile, or electronic mail; make one or more contributions online or by mail; or send us written or electronic communication. Certain of these activities require that you provide personally-identifiable information, such as when you make a donation either by written check mailed to us or via electronic transaction which may include using a credit card. When you provide personally-identifiable information to Youth’s Leadership, it is used to fulfill only specific request(s) of the provider and to satisfy reporting requirements set forth by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Washington. In certain cases, you will be given the opportunity to select whether you do, or do not, want Youth’s Leadership to use this information for additional purposes. You may also request that Youth’s Leadership not use your information by sending an e-mail to email@example.com, however, Youth’s Leadership reserves the right, in its discretion, to send you bulletins and other important information about Youth Leadership, its supported programs, its authorized agents, and/or other goods and services offered by third-party providers with whom Youth’s Leadership has relationships and whose offerings may be of interest to you. Youth’s Leadership will not, however, sell or trade personally-identifiable information unless authorized and/or legally required to do so, or in the case of imminent physical harm to the person or other parties. When making donation to Youth’s Leadership with credit card or other means of electronic transaction, payment is processed securely by a third-party. Presently, Youth’s Leadership uses PayPal™ as its electronic payment processing provider. When paying with PayPal™ or any other third-party merchant services provider, you are bound by the policies, terms and conditions, and privacy practices of the third-party provider. Youth’s Leadership assumes no responsibility and accepts no liability for the transaction processes and services provided by PayPal™ or any agent, vendor, or partner Youth’s Leadership may engage for third-party services. Youth’s Leadership cannot safeguard any information you disclose to a third-party or in a public space. In any instance where you voluntarily offer any feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like, Youth’s Leadership will treat that portion of the information as non-confidential and non-proprietary and, except as otherwise expressed in this privacy statement, Youth’s Leadership assumes no obligation to protect such information from disclosure.
B. Non Personally-Identifiable (Generic) Information
Generic information does NOT reveal the identity of any individual. Youth’s Leadership receives some generic information automatically, such as when a person visits its web site. In such case, the information received usually includes information about the Internet address assigned to the computer used by the visitor accessing its web sites, the number and frequency of visitors and visits, and the sites and pages visited. This information is used for the limited purpose of determining service improvements and ongoing web site development needs. This process may be enhanced by using certain technologies, including "cookies" (a technology that can be used to provide the visitor with tailored information about Youth’s Leadership and the programs it supports and a personalized experience while visiting its web site), when permitted by the browser settings selected by the visitor and in force during the site session.
